Evan brought us his Silverado 2500HD after the factory front bumper had been damaged in an accident. Rather than put a stock bumper back on, he wanted a steel replacement with a winch and lighting built in, so we installed a Hammerhead front bumper with a winch and pod lights.
Evan didn’t want aftermarket glowing switches added to his cab. So instead of a switch panel, we sourced the factory auxiliary switch system from GM: a new knee panel, the factory switch bank and all of the under-hood components the system needs to work. The lights run from factory AUX buttons that look like they came with the truck, because they did.
The work
Hammerhead steel front bumper
The damaged factory bumper came off and a Hammerhead steel bumper went on in its place. It’s built for a winch and lighting from the start, so everything mounts where it was designed to go.
Winch in the bumper
The winch sits in the bumper’s cradle behind the hoop, with the line and hook stowed at the front and the wiring routed and protected back to the battery.
Pod lights

Factory GM aux switches
Evan didn’t want aftermarket glowing switches in his cab, so we sourced GM’s factory auxiliary switch system: a new knee panel, the factory switch bank and the under-hood components that make it work. The lights run from the factory AUX buttons by the parking brake, and the cab looks stock.

He went above and beyond getting all hardware snugged up even though it wasn’t in the estimate - with being a late request made when I dropped off the truck. Additionally, Off Camber’s shop not only provided the most reasonable price out of the four estimates I received, they were the ONLY shop that recommended a follow up inspection for the type of service I had done. They installed a leveling kit, control arms, rear shocks, dual exhaust system, and a trailer receiver along with including the complementary inspection at 500 miles to make sure everything was still tight.
I had some Rubicon takeoff springs installed on my Wrangler JL Sport 2 door. It was awesome to watch Zach work. He took time to torque everything properly and still completed the job in a very timely fashion. It was a great experience!
