Wheels & tires
A wheel and tire package that clears your suspension, carries your weight and suits the roads you actually drive. Sourced, mounted, balanced, installed and aligned before you pick up.
The package is a system
Tires get the attention, but the wheel decides where that tire sits in the fender well, and the suspension decides how far it travels up into the body. Change one and the other two have to be rechecked. So we pick the tire size and tread, choose a wheel that places it correctly, and confirm the combination clears before anything is ordered.
Four questions we ask first
Honest answers narrow the field fast.
How high does it sit?
A stock truck, a leveled truck and a rig with a full lift kit each have a different ceiling on tire size. If a lift is part of the plan, size the tires to the finished height, not to what fits today.
Where does it get driven?
Commuting on I-25, hauling on county gravel, snow runs over the passes and weekend rock trails all pull tread choice in different directions. Most people land on a compromise, and it helps to know which use matters most.
What does it weigh loaded?
Steel bumpers, a winch, racks, a tent and gear add up. Both the wheel and the tire carry a load rating, and a heavily built rig can outgrow a light-duty tire before the tread is worn out.
What about the spare?
A fifth matching tire keeps rotations even and gets you home on a real tire. It also has to fit the carrier, the tailgate or the underbody cradle, which becomes a question once the size climbs.
What a bigger package changes
Taller, heavier tires touch nearly every system on the vehicle. None of this is a reason to skip the upgrade; it is what to plan around.
Acceleration and shifting
A taller tire acts like a numerically lower axle ratio. The engine turns fewer revolutions per mile, so the rig feels softer pulling away and the transmission may hunt for gears on grades. We don’t regear axles, so we size tires with that in mind.
Speedometer reading
A taller tire covers more ground per turn, so the dash reads slower than you are really going. Plan on a recalibration through a dealer or a programmer after a meaningful size jump. It is not a service we perform.
Stopping and steering
More rotating mass and a longer lever arm mean more work for brakes and steering parts. On solid-axle Jeeps and heavier trucks, tie rods, drag links and track bars feel it first. See our steering upgrades.
Mileage
Heavier tires with more aggressive tread usually cost some fuel economy, and wider tires add drag at highway speed.
TPMS and driver aids
New wheels need tire pressure sensors, and some vehicles need a relearn before the warning light goes out. Height and tire changes can also shift camera and radar aim. Plan for that separately.
Rubbing and trimming
A bigger tire can rub at full steering lock or when the suspension compresses. Some setups need minor trimming of plastic liners or air dams; we don’t cut sheet metal, so we size the package to fit without it.
Common platforms we fit
Fitment is vehicle-specific. Popular starting points include the Wrangler JL, Wrangler JK, Gladiator, Bronco, 4Runner, Tacoma, Ram 1500, F-150 and Silverado and Sierra 1500.
Wheel and tire brands we carry
Wheels from Method Race Wheels, ICON, Fuel Off-Road, Dirty Life and Black Rhino, and tires from Mickey Thompson, Nitto, Cooper and Falken. Tap a logo to jump to that brand’s popular models on the wheels or tires page.
Looking for something else? Through our distributors we can source from more than 130 brands, so tell us the wheel or tire you have in mind and we will confirm fit and availability.
Drop it off once
Once the package is chosen and ordered, you bring the vehicle in one time. Tires are mounted and balanced, wheels torqued on and the alignment set before the keys come back to you. If the package goes on with a lift or level, it all happens in the same visit.
Most jobs start within about a week of the parts landing. The shop is off I-25 at Crossroads Blvd in Windsor, open weekdays from 9 to 4, and we can arrange an early drop or a late pickup around your schedule. Drivers come from Greeley, Fort Collins, Loveland and the rest of Northern Colorado.
Wheel and tire FAQ
Can I bring wheels or tires I bought online?
Yes, and plenty of customers do. Just know the labor rate is higher for customer-supplied parts, and road hazard or defect claims go back to whoever sold them to you. More on how our parts pricing works.
Can I fit bigger tires without a lift?
Usually a modest step up, depending on the vehicle and the wheel offset. A leveling kit often adds room for about one more size. A large jump in diameter generally needs a lift, and we will tell you where that line is for your rig.
Do I need an alignment with new wheels and tires?
If the ride height or tire size changed, yes. Even a same-size swap is a good moment to check it. Every package we install leaves with the alignment already done.
Can you get a specific brand or finish?
Very likely. Our go-to wheels are Method, ICON, Fuel, Dirty Life and Black Rhino, and our go-to tires are Mickey Thompson, Nitto, Cooper and Falken. Through our distributors we can also source from more than 130 brands, so tell us the wheel or tire you want and we will confirm fit and availability.
How long does a wheel and tire install take?
The work itself fits in a normal drop-off. Most jobs get into the bay within about a week once parts arrive.

I can’t say enough good things about this jeep shop and Zach was super friendly and even looked at something I thought could be an issue. As someone that works in the trades and was hoping for a smooth experience. They exceeded any expectations that I had. My jeep looks a lot better lifted. I had very specific time frames I was hoping to meet and they made it work, answered dozens of questions that I had, and provided tons of information I wanted to know and didn’t think to ask.
Great job repairing my rear tire mount.
Zach did an excellent job replacing my Jeeps ball joints. Very satisfied with the joints he suggested and the work that was done.
Zach did some suspension work on my truck and it came out great, he was quick and the price was fair. Will definitely be back for more work in the future.
Zach was insanely helpful. He handled a pretty out of the box request with ease. I will recommend him to anyone in the area or passing through!
I had a great experience at Off Camber 4x4 as Zach is a true professional and pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond getting all hardware snugged up even though it wasn’t in the estimate - with being a late request made when I dropped off the truck. Additionally, Off Camber’s shop not only provided the most reasonable price out of the four estimates I received, they were the ONLY shop that recommended a follow up inspection for the type of service I had done. They installed a leveling kit, control arms, rear shocks, dual exhaust system, and a trailer receiver along with including the complementary inspection at 500 miles to make sure everything was still tight.
I had some Rubicon takeoff springs installed on my Wrangler JL Sport 2 door. It was awesome to watch Zach work. He took time to torque everything properly and still completed the job in a very timely fashion. It was a great experience!
Amazing experience. I needed to improve lighting on my truck and Zach provided excellent recommendations, found all the parts online for a good price, did excellent work and all for a very reasonable price. I'm definitely coming back. Highly recommend to everyone!
