Jordan brought his 2023 Tacoma to us for a lift kit. He was setting the truck up as an overland vehicle, so height alone wasn’t the goal. He needed suspension that could take the weight of his gear: a camper shell, a rooftop tent and a drawer system in the bed.
He went with the Old Man EMU MT64 2-inch lift kit and paired it with 600-pound leaf springs. The springs are chosen for the load the truck actually carries, so the rear holds its height with the shell, tent and drawers on board instead of sagging under them.

Old Man Emu builds its suspension around touring and loaded vehicles, which is the job Jordan’s Tacoma does. The MT64 kit gives a 2-inch lift with shocks and springs designed to work together.
600-pound leaf springs
The rear of an overland Tacoma carries most of the weight. Leaf springs rated for 600 pounds of load keep the rear at height with the camper shell, rooftop tent and drawer system in place, so the truck sits level and the suspension still has travel left to work with.

Additionally, Off Camber’s shop not only provided the most reasonable price out of the four estimates I received, they were the ONLY shop that recommended a follow up inspection for the type of service I had done. They installed a leveling kit, control arms, rear shocks, dual exhaust system, and a trailer receiver along with including the complementary inspection at 500 miles to make sure everything was still tight.
I had some Rubicon takeoff springs installed on my Wrangler JL Sport 2 door. It was awesome to watch Zach work. He took time to torque everything properly and still completed the job in a very timely fashion. It was a great experience!
Amazing experience. I needed to improve lighting on my truck and Zach provided excellent recommendations, found all the parts online for a good price, did excellent work and all for a very reasonable price. I'm definitely coming back. Highly recommend to everyone!
