2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited · 3.5-inch MetalCloak Game-Changer lift and a 12,000-pound winch

Rex brought us a 2020 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited that already had the good stuff underneath, and wanted it to look and work the part. The plan was straightforward: real height and travel from a suspension system built for it, and recovery gear he could count on when a trail run goes sideways.
We installed a 3.5-inch MetalCloak Game-Changer suspension system with their RockSport shocks, then mounted a Smittybilt Gen 3 12,000-pound winch up front. The Jeep left with everything torqued to spec and an alignment, sitting taller on the wheels and tires it came in on. Rex has since moved to aftermarket wheels and 35-inch tires, which the Game-Changer system had already made room for.
How it arrived, how it left
Same Jeep, same wheels and tires in both shots. The Game-Changer system sets the height and opens up the wheel wells, and Rex added aftermarket wheels and 35s later.
The work
MetalCloak 3.5-inch Game-Changer
MetalCloak is one of our direct dealer lines, and the Game-Changer system is built around long travel rather than just height. The kit goes in as a system, with the coils, arms and hardware designed to work together at the new ride height.
RockSport shocks
The red RockSport shocks are the piece that makes the difference on the trail. They are valved and sized for the extra travel a MetalCloak lift allows, so the axle can keep working instead of topping out at full droop.
Smittybilt Gen 3 12,000-pound winch
The winch mounts up front in the Rubicon’s factory steel bumper, wired back to the battery with proper routing and protection so nothing rubs or heats against the suspension or the exhaust.
Torque, alignment and a road test
Every fastener torqued to spec, the track bar and steering set at the new height, an alignment before pickup, and a drive to make sure it tracks straight and the steering returns to center.

They installed a leveling kit, control arms, rear shocks, dual exhaust system, and a trailer receiver along with including the complementary inspection at 500 miles to make sure everything was still tight.
I had some Rubicon takeoff springs installed on my Wrangler JL Sport 2 door. It was awesome to watch Zach work. He took time to torque everything properly and still completed the job in a very timely fashion. It was a great experience!
