Northern Colorado's MetalCloak specialists
We are a direct MetalCloak dealer and installer in Windsor, Colorado — Game-Changer suspension, Duroflex control arms, rock sliders, fenders and UnderCloak skids, installed by a shop that fits these kits regularly.
Built for articulation, not just height
MetalCloak designs around suspension travel. Their Game-Changer systems pair long-travel shocks with True Dual Rate coils and Duroflex joints so the axle keeps moving after a lesser kit has run out of droop. That matters more on a Colorado rock trail than another inch of lift ever will, and it is the reason so many of the Jeeps and Gladiators we build leave here on MetalCloak parts.
We buy MetalCloak direct, so we can quote a complete system — suspension, arms, track bars, sliders, fenders and skids — instead of piecing a build together from whatever is cheapest that week. If a MetalCloak part is not the right answer for your rig or your budget, we will say so and show you the alternatives we also deal direct for.

MetalCloak parts we fit
Game-Changer suspension
Complete systems for the Wrangler JL, JK, Gladiator JT and Bronco, in heights from 2.5 inches up. Separate kits exist for the 4xe and 392 Wrangler and for the Gladiator Mojave, and we order by trim so the right parts arrive the first time.
Duroflex control arms
Full arm sets and long-arm systems for TJ and LJ Wranglers, plus the caster correction and adjustable track bars that keep a lifted axle centered and the steering calm.
Rock sliders & armor
Rocker protection, bumpers with winch mounts and the aluminum Sportgate tire carrier, which is rated for 150 lb and carries spares up to 38 inches. See our rock rails and bumpers pages.
UnderCloak skid systems
Full-belly skid coverage that smooths out the underside of a Jeep or Bronco so it slides over ledges instead of hanging up on them. More on our skid plates page.
Fenders & tire clearance
High-clearance fenders and the supporting parts that let bigger tires cycle without rubbing, planned alongside your wheel and tire choice.
Rocklander for trucks
MetalCloak's Rocklander suspension covers newer Toyota trucks, including the 2025-and-up Tacoma, for owners carrying camp gear and a rack.

There is no way to describe the amount of flex a MetalCloak lift has until you experience it for yourself.

Steering that keeps up with the tires
Factory steering links are the weak point on a lifted Jeep running big rubber. Bend a tie rod on a rock, or let a worn link introduce play, and the whole front end feels vague — the kind of wander that gets blamed on the lift when the linkage is the real culprit.
MetalCloak's HD steering systems replace the tie rod and drag link with parts built for abuse. The JL Wrangler and JT Gladiator tie rod uses 1-5/8-inch seamless chromoly tubing with forged, heat-treated 1-ton anti-flop dog-leg rod ends; the matching drag link is 1.375-inch OD, .375-inch wall DOM tubing with high-misalignment 1-ton rod ends, OE taper pins for exact fitment, grease boots and zerk fittings for service. The JK system follows the same recipe, with dog-leg ends that clear stock or aftermarket wheels. Systems come with a Fox or RockSport steering stabilizer, and Rubicon and non-Rubicon versions differ, so we order by trim.
We install these as part of a lift or on their own. More on what we do with linkage on the steering page.

Ball joints you rebuild instead of replace
MetalCloak's Baller Joints are a heavy-duty answer to the part that wears out first on a modified Jeep. They are load bearing top and bottom, fully sealed, adjustable for preload, and rebuildable in the Jeep — so when they eventually wear, the fix is a rebuild in the driveway instead of pressing in a new set.
The build is hardened tool steel races, an induction-hardened chromoly spindle and ball, and a load-rated composite bushing for radial loads, with O-ring and shaft wiper seals top and bottom and recessed zerk fittings for greasing. Sets are available for the JK Wrangler and for the JL Wrangler and JT Gladiator, and they are made in the USA.
If your rig has a clunk over bumps, wander at highway speed, or uneven tire wear, ball joints are one of the first things we check — see ball joints. We also install uniball ball joints when a build calls for them.

The details a MetalCloak install lives or dies on
These kits reward careful setup. Ride height gets set with the vehicle's real weight on it, joints get torqued at ride height rather than hanging, the track bars come back to centered, and the bump stops get matched to the tire you are actually running.

Driveshafts and exhaust
MetalCloak warns that factory driveshafts contact OEM components and wear quickly at the extremes of articulation on its 3.5-inch Gladiator system, and that long-travel kits need an aftermarket shaft. On 2012-and-newer JKs, exhaust spacers or a new front shaft may be required. We flag that in the quote rather than at pickup.
Trim-specific kits
The 4xe and 392 Wrangler and the Gladiator Mojave use their own systems. MetalCloak also notes stock 4xe wheel backspacing will not work with its kit. Tell us the trim when you call or text and we order accordingly.
Geometry after the lift
Caster correction, adjustable track bars and brake line length are part of the job, not extras discovered later. Worn joints get found before new parts go on top of them.
The 500-mile check
Every suspension install comes back at 500 miles or 30 days for a free re-torque and inspection. It is required to keep your coverage — see the warranty.
MetalCloak builds across Northern Colorado
Windsor is a short drive from most of the Front Range north of Denver, so MetalCloak builds come to us from Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Timnath, Severance and Johnstown. Owners regularly drive up from the Denver metro too, usually because our schedule stays fluid: most jobs get into the bay within about a week of parts arriving, instead of the multi-week wait common at the bigger metro shops.
You drop off once and pick up finished, with wheels and tires mounted, balanced and the alignment done in the same visit. See the full service area.

MetalCloak FAQ
Are you an authorized MetalCloak dealer?
Yes. We hold a direct dealer account with MetalCloak, so parts come straight from them rather than through a middleman, and we can quote complete systems.
Can I bring my own MetalCloak parts?
Ask us. We can install customer-supplied parts in many cases, at a higher labor rate and with no warranty from us on the parts or the labor. Because we are a direct MetalCloak dealer, our price on their parts usually matches buying direct from MetalCloak, so supplying your own rarely saves anything — see customer-supplied parts.
Which MetalCloak lift height should I run?
It depends on your tire size, how you use the rig, and what you are willing to change underneath. Around 2.5 inches clears 35s on most modern Wranglers; taller kits bring driveshaft, caster and brake line work with them. Call or text with your model and trim and we will lay out the options.
Do you install MetalCloak on anything besides Jeeps?
Yes. MetalCloak builds systems for the Bronco and newer Toyota trucks as well, and we install their armor on other platforms where it fits.
How long does a MetalCloak suspension install take?
Most are a one-day to two-day job once the parts are here, depending on what else is going on at the same time, such as arms, sliders, skids, wheels and an alignment.

Great job repairing my rear tire mount.
Zach did an excellent job replacing my Jeeps ball joints. Very satisfied with the joints he suggested and the work that was done.
Zach did some suspension work on my truck and it came out great, he was quick and the price was fair. Will definitely be back for more work in the future.
Zach was insanely helpful. He handled a pretty out of the box request with ease. I will recommend him to anyone in the area or passing through!
I had a great experience at Off Camber 4x4 as Zach is a true professional and pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond getting all hardware snugged up even though it wasn’t in the estimate - with being a late request made when I dropped off the truck. Additionally, Off Camber’s shop not only provided the most reasonable price out of the four estimates I received, they were the ONLY shop that recommended a follow up inspection for the type of service I had done. They installed a leveling kit, control arms, rear shocks, dual exhaust system, and a trailer receiver along with including the complementary inspection at 500 miles to make sure everything was still tight.
I had some Rubicon takeoff springs installed on my Wrangler JL Sport 2 door. It was awesome to watch Zach work. He took time to torque everything properly and still completed the job in a very timely fashion. It was a great experience!
Amazing experience. I needed to improve lighting on my truck and Zach provided excellent recommendations, found all the parts online for a good price, did excellent work and all for a very reasonable price. I'm definitely coming back. Highly recommend to everyone!
Zach was outstanding! He was fair and honest and the results speak for themselves! So happy with how the work turned out. I will be going back in the future!
