Diode Dynamics dealer & installer

We buy Diode Dynamics direct and install it every week — Stage Series pods, SS3 fog kits, light bars and LED bulbs, wired cleanly and aimed so they help you see instead of blinding oncoming traffic.

Why this brand

Engineered, not rebranded

Most off-road lighting is a generic import with a logo printed on the box. Diode Dynamics is not. The company was founded in 2006 and designs, engineers and manufactures in a 70,000-square-foot facility in St. Charles, Missouri, with automated circuit board assembly, environmental test chambers for DOT and SAE compliance, a photometric lab with a goniometer and integrating sphere, and ISO 9001:2015 certification.

That matters on a truck. It is the difference between a light with a real, measured beam pattern and a cheap pod that throws glare everywhere except where you are looking. They back the products with a no-hassle warranty, and because we are a direct dealer, a warranty claim starts with a phone call to us, not a hunt for whoever shipped the box.

The lineup

What we install

2″

SSC2 pods

Two-inch pods for tight spots — bumper openings, A-pillars, ditch light brackets. The Max option puts out 3,900 raw lumens, and SAE-compliant fog and driving patterns are available, so they can be used legally on the street.

3″

SS3 pods & fog kits

The workhorse. Higher output intensity than any other three-inch pod on the market, with SAE-compliant fog and driving beams. Vehicle-specific kits drop into factory fog locations with wire adapters — including 2018–2026 Wrangler JL, 2007–2018 JK and 2020–2026 Gladiator.

5″

SS5 pods

The highest output intensity of any five-inch pod on the market, for bumper, A-pillar and roof mounting where you want serious reach down a dark forest road. SAE yellow fog versions are available for street use; the wide-open spot and driving versions are aimed for the trail.

Bar

Stage Series light bars

Bar lighting for bumpers, roofs and grilles, with the same custom-engineered TIR optics that give the pods their beam control.

Bulb

LED replacement bulbs

Direct-fit LED bulbs for interior lighting, reverse lights and other factory locations — the small upgrades that make loading a trailer or backing into a campsite far less annoying.

Mount

Brackets & wiring

Vehicle-specific brackets, wiring harnesses and switches, installed with proper routing, fusing and a switch location you can actually reach.

Factory fog locations

A direct-fit upgrade, not a bolt-on afterthought

The cleanest lighting upgrade on most trucks is the one nobody can tell you added: an SS3 dropped into the factory fog location, using a vehicle-specific bracket and wire adapters so the stock switch still runs it. No holes, no zip-tied harness, nothing hanging below the bumper to catch on a rock.

SAE yellow is our usual recommendation down low. Yellow cuts glare back at you in snow and dust, and the SAE fog pattern is made to be street legal, so it earns its keep on the drive home as well as on the trail. Pair it with an LED headlight upgrade and the whole front of the truck finally matches.

Beam patterns

Fog, driving, spot — pick for the job

Buying lights by lumens alone is how people end up with a wall of glare and no usable distance. Diode Dynamics publishes tested beam patterns, and we pick by what you are actually doing:

Fog

Wide and low

A broad bar of light kept below your line of sight, for snow, dust and weather. The SAE-compliant fog pattern is the one to run on the street.

Drive

Reach with control

More distance while keeping the cutoff civil. The SAE driving pattern works as an auxiliary high beam without lighting up the rearview mirror of the truck ahead of you.

Spot

Straight down the trail

Tight and far, for off-road use. Great on a two-track at night, not something to leave on behind traffic.

Combo

Mixed on a bar

Pairing patterns across a bar or a set of pods gives you spread up close and reach far out, which is usually what people actually want.

The install

Wiring is where lighting jobs go wrong

Bolting a pod to a bracket is the easy part. What separates a clean install from one that gives you trouble two winters later is everything behind it: a harness routed away from heat and sharp edges, grommets where wiring passes through sheet metal, proper fusing, a relay or switch that matches the draw, and connections that are sealed rather than twisted and taped.

We also aim lights before you leave. Auxiliary lighting that is legal and well aimed makes you safer; the same lights pointed carelessly make you the person everyone flashes their brights at. If you want the full breakdown of what we do on lighting jobs, start at the lighting page or the headlights and fog lights page.

Custom wiring

Pods that do more than shine

Lighting does not have to be one more switch on the dash. On this Sequoia we wired the rear bumper pods into the vehicle’s own circuits so they work as brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights — the pod lights up with the tail lights, blinks with the signal, and goes white when you drop it into reverse.

That kind of job is wiring work, not bolt-on work: reading the factory circuits, picking the right controller or module, fusing it properly and sealing every connection so it survives Colorado winters. If you have an idea for how you want your lighting to behave, ask. Usually the answer is yes.

Buying through us

Direct dealer pricing

We hold a direct account with Diode Dynamics, so our price on their parts is generally what you would pay ordering direct from Diode Dynamics yourself. There is no shop markup to dodge by buying your own, and going through us keeps the parts and the labor under one roof for warranty purposes. If you have already bought lights, bring them — just read how customer-supplied parts work first.

We serve Windsor, Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley and the rest of Northern Colorado. Most jobs get into the bay within about a week of parts arriving.

Questions

Diode Dynamics FAQ

Are you an authorized Diode Dynamics dealer?

Yes. We hold a direct dealer account with Diode Dynamics, so parts come straight from them and warranty claims start with us.

Which pod size should I run?

SSC2 two-inch pods fit tight spots and bumper openings, SS3 three-inch pods are the all-around choice and the one most fog kits use, and SS5 five-inch pods are for maximum reach off-road. Tell us what you drive and how you use it and we will match size and beam pattern.

Are these legal on the street in Colorado?

SSC2 and SS3 pods are offered with SAE-compliant fog and driving patterns, which are made for street use as fog lights or auxiliary high beams. Pure off-road lighting, like an SS5 or a spot bar, is for trail use. We will tell you which is which and aim everything properly, but it is the owner's responsibility to confirm what is legal for their intended use.

Will fog kits fit my factory fog light location?

On many vehicles, yes — the vehicle-specific kits bolt into the factory location and use wire adapters. Fitment depends on year and trim, so call or text and we will confirm before ordering.

Can you add a switch inside the cab?

Yes. We install the switch where you can reach it, fused and wired so the lights only work when they should, and we can wire off-road-only lights to the high beam circuit where that makes sense.

Zach was insanely helpful. He handled a pretty out of the box request with ease. I will recommend him to anyone in the area or passing through!

I had a great experience at Off Camber 4x4 as Zach is a true professional and pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond getting all hardware snugged up even though it wasn’t in the estimate - with being a late request made when I dropped off the truck. Additionally, Off Camber’s shop not only provided the most reasonable price out of the four estimates I received, they were the ONLY shop that recommended a follow up inspection for the type of service I had done. They installed a leveling kit, control arms, rear shocks, dual exhaust system, and a trailer receiver along with including the complementary inspection at 500 miles to make sure everything was still tight.

I had some Rubicon takeoff springs installed on my Wrangler JL Sport 2 door. It was awesome to watch Zach work. He took time to torque everything properly and still completed the job in a very timely fashion. It was a great experience!
